Future

Although proud of our history, we are eager to meet the challenges of the future, and we believe that one of the most crucial components for achieving this is listening to our customers, with their feedback providing the blueprint for future growth.

Whilst Mansfields have achieved a great deal in the 40 years that they have farmed in Kent, we recognise that to retain a competitive advantage in the market place we must continually examine and question the way forward. Though expansion is still inevitable, quality and customer service are paramount.

Trying to forecast what the future will bring is very difficult to ascertain, especially 50 – 100 years ahead. It is thought that fruit growing will continue in fewer and larger units, but changes will occur in how fruit is grown, marketed, packaged and distributed. How it is grown will probably be the most questionable area, with more and more pressure on the use of fewer pesticides.

The future will raise exciting challenges, which based on Mansfields performance in the past, will be embarked upon effectively and successfully.
